Award winning singer songwriter Andrea Soler
has recently returned to Australia after
touring throughout Europe, launching
her catchy new EP ‘Daydreamer’. Andrea and her guitarist James Rossperformed on the UK summer festival circuit including performances at: Larmer Tree Festival,
Sunrise Celebration, and Lush Fest.
They also successfully ventured into new
territories making many new fans along the
way in ten different countries.
Some of which include:
Scotland, Germany, Holland, Switzerland,
Austria and France.
Andrea grew up immersed in the Chanson
tradition of French Folk music in a bohemian
family of Spanish and French descent.
Her music evokes the tradition of the troubadour
with a beguiling joie de vivre taking the listener
on a journey through the realms of indie folk,
jazz, roots and world music. Her songs appeal
to a wide audience and retain a unique yet
catchy melody. Described by Michael Smith
(Drum Media) as "Gentle, Caressing, Evocative
and Bell-like", Andrea's voice has a tone
often described as 'beautiful wild honey'.
|She wins hearts wherever she goes
and has also won some awards, taking out 'Female Vocals' and 'World Music' categories at The North Coast Music Industry Awards in Australia. Since the release of Andrea’s debut album ‘Earth On An Axis’ she has become a
festival sweetheart. Her band has performed at last year’s renowned Woodford Folk Festival, Dorrigo Folk Festival, Mullum Music Festival
to name a few, and has also won the
ABC North Coast Artist of The Week,
and more recently a 2012 Music Oz Awards Finalist for ‘Daydreamer’.
"Do not miss any opportunity to see Andrea Soler play live. This Australianinger-songwriter has brought a much needed helping of antipodean warmth and manages to blend so many rhythms and ideas,
emotions and moods into her music. A brilliant,
imaginative original artist.”
